After giving 5, yes FIVE bags of clothing twice to the local second hand store last year, and a good portion of that clothing having been bought in the last 2 years, I was disgusted. Disgusted at my lack of better judgment that, “No, I do not need that shirt in 3 colors.” Often when I shop I just look at something, pay for it and move on. Most of those purchases have about the same attention span in my closet. I started to wonder why I always had so much laundry to do when I wear close to the same three-five things every day.

I may need to make that resolution myself. I don’t buy clothes that often, but most of the time, when I do, I never wear them.
I recently donated 3 huge trash bags of clothing to one of my mom’s co-worker’s daughter, which, even though it felt wonderful, it barely made a dent in my closet.

What a great resolution. It would definitely be a difficult one for me…shopping is like therapy! Good luck. I know this doesn’t help any, but I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE the coat in the 2nd picture. Maybe you could talk someone into “gifting” it to you.

This is my biggest vice. I actually have a post scheduled for next week about having to give away loads of clothes. It is sad, but I’m happy to be moving in the right direction. Good for you!!
