Your work is beautiful… and am following you on Twitter now too! I Twitter because I refuse to join Facebook. :)

I tweet, but I have no idea why. And I love your twitter button! I am totally going to go and make one myself now!

  • Comment by Carolyn G — March 19, 2009 @ 11:01 am

I started to tweet because I enter giveaways and they required it. But then I got addicted and made new friends and now I tweet to keep in touch.

you know i’d love anything of yours!

don’t twitter. i feel like it’s one more blasted thing to keep up with.

headed up to the valley today. maybe i’ll see you!

  • Comment by Abbie — March 19, 2009 @ 12:41 pm

I’m not twitter-ing because I think there comes a point when too much technology and “connectivity” can become detrimental. I actually heard of a study where it proved that people have a harder time communicating face-to-face because of all of the ways to communicate online now!

These would be perfect for my friend, Jen, who is started a cake business!

  • Comment by Becky — March 19, 2009 @ 12:42 pm

Don’t twitter – one more thing to learn! Oh boy!

  • Comment by Adrienne — March 19, 2009 @ 1:22 pm

Natalie: Well since facebook was unsuccessful in purchasing Twitter they are now a Twitter wannabe. You aren’t missing much on that boat. I think I consider de-activating my account at least once a month…

Charmaine: I think I’m in the same frame of mind as you. I’m not sure why I’m doing it, blind leading the blind?

    Carolyn G: Interesting…

Sheen: You are welcome to stop by ant time!

Abbie: You have a great point. I am a phone-a-phobic and even more of a hermit when it comes to personal relationships ;) No – I do have friends that I can actually talk to but I do find that since I’ve used email as a main form of communication these past few years, that I am a little shy when it comes to calling people up or talking to them face to face. I am an example of communication challenged! Although, I’ve always been shy so who knows!

I also considered whether I’d be tying myself to too many technological things at once, maybe I’ll drop facebook for twitter? I rarely log on anymore…

Becky: AMEN, there comes a point when one is fine with not having to learn all the new things being thrown at us every day, congrats to sticking to your guns!

WIth that said, I’m impressed with the relative ease that twitter provides, especially over Facebook, and the fact that you can follow or be followed with out feeling like they have to be your “friend” (facebook). It seems more non-committal, which is more my style. It also seems less unconnected of the two. I might actually really like it and get carpal tunnel thumbs from all the tweeting I might do on my phone if I indeed think of it! WHO KNOWS??

  • Comment by Holly — March 19, 2009 @ 5:48 pm

So far I’ve avoided Twitter. I know lots of bloggers are using it, but I just can’t see letting everyone know what I’m doing every moment of the day. I already feel like I’m chained to my computer — I don’t want it to get worse! Besides, the majority of my everyday moments are pretty boring!

  • Comment by Emily F — March 19, 2009 @ 6:08 pm

I do Twitter, but I can’t figure out why. It seems like people who are really interesting (a la Design Mom or Nicole Gerulat) have a purpose in twittering. Me, not so much. But I do it anyway, because I can’t bear to be left behind. So, I’ll be tweeting your giveaway AND following you. That’s triple chances, right?

  • Comment by Naomi W. — March 19, 2009 @ 8:33 pm

I twitter because one of my long lost friends invited me… who can resist a long lost friend? Oh wait…. now they haven’t updated since they joined!! :) Alas I still twitter about :)

  • Comment by Anna Lee — March 20, 2009 @ 7:00 am

I twitter to keep up with everyone! :-)

  • Comment by Amy — March 20, 2009 @ 8:01 am

I tweet because … it’s fast and I can do it from my cell phone. I can do it while I make a pie, while I take a bubble bath or even straighten my hair. And yes I am a geek.

  • Comment by Sunni Standing — March 20, 2009 @ 12:42 pm

I tweet. Well I just started anyway. I’ve actually only done one tweet so far. I started just because it looked like fun and why not? I mean, its less invasive than facebook and there’s that cute little bird and the whole cute twitter thing. Tweet, tweet. Oh yeah and it’s almost easter and the whole bird thing went with the easter thing.

  • Comment by RockerJewlz — March 20, 2009 @ 5:13 pm

I twitter, usually to enter contests…dont’ really get much of a kick out of it like some others seem to. No biggie, can’t complain about gaining exposure online!

  • Comment by Meridith — March 20, 2009 @ 7:32 pm

I have a two-year-old Twitter account that I haven’t updated in two years. I don’t get it. I use Facebook, I blog, I email, I occasionally use Flickr – but I just don’t get Twitter. I don’t text a lot, either. Who knows. And now that I have a baby, the chance that I will use Twitter seems slim (then again, 140 characters is nearly all the time I get these days).

The cupcakes are DARLING. Love them.

I don’t tweet because I’m already way overconnected. I feel like nobody should want to know what I’m doing minute to minute… :)

  • Comment by Sassycakes — March 21, 2009 @ 10:39 am

unfortunately i don’t tweet, have no idea how one would go about tweeting, and am already overwhelmed by facebook so i don’t see myself tweeting anytime soon:) however, i found your awesome cupcake design on etsy because i’m looking for cutesy little thank-you tags for my baked goods that i’m selling for the Great American Bake Sale (http://gabs.strength.org) – i was looking for ideas to make them myself since my funds are mostly going to buy sugar and flour, but i hope i win! these are adorable and you are super-talented – i’m in love with your letterpress poppy design too. thanks for the chance!

  • Comment by MJ — March 21, 2009 @ 1:12 pm

I tweet to promote my etsy shop – plumstars – although I’m not sure I’m any good at it :)

    Adorable items!!

  • Comment by ML — March 21, 2009 @ 3:09 pm

I don’t twitter because email, IM, blogs, facebook, text messaging, cell phones, etc. are enough for me. I don’t need a minute-by-minute update of everyone else’s life… :)

Pretty cards! I hope I win this time… *fingers crossed*

I tweet to TRY to get my website more views-I dont think it’s working though… Im about to follow you on twitter. thanks for the giveaway, Im here from the UBP

  • Comment by Maureen — March 21, 2009 @ 6:11 pm

I do not Twitter because I haven’t even begun a blog yet. I have a computer that is 8 yrs old and has a mind of its own half the time. I would get stuck on the computer if I did anymore than I do at the moment.

  • Comment by Allyson — March 21, 2009 @ 7:19 pm

I’m party hopping from the UBP. I’m glad that I came across you blog. Those recipe cards are adorable. I’ll be back by when I have some more time to check everything out.

Come by and visit us if you get a chance.

I do Twitter, but I’m definitely not “a regular.” I normally don’t have the extra time to tweet about everything. I also find tweeting about everything that’s happening a little annoying.

Find out how we’ve received over $150 in FREE gift cards in the past 2 months.

I caught the Dingbat via Etsy and I think your work is beautiful..if only I had known when I got married..ah, hindsight is 20/20 vision I see! Well, I don’t tweet b/c I don’t want to catch the ‘twitter bug’ and become totally addicted to social networking…blogging and facebook are enough thank you. Keep up your amazing work, Dingbat!

Just to be honest, I don;t tweet because I don’t have a clue to what it is. I need some direction from my daughter I guess

What a fab giveaway, those pink cupcakes are adorable.

I twitter because I am nosy – I like to know what my internet friends are up to. It’s like gossip, but about people you sort of ‘know’. (and I am now following you – my twitter name is peacockfeather).

  • Comment by Lisa — March 23, 2009 @ 9:27 pm

I just started twitter and I have no idea why I do it! LOL…Basically, I wanted to stay current on new social networking so I understood what was going on.

Thank you for doing a giveaway! Your work is gorgeous!

  • Comment by Lisa — March 23, 2009 @ 9:27 pm

Also, I am following you on twitter now!

  • Comment by natsplat — March 24, 2009 @ 2:41 am

I tweet coz I have friends who I follow and who follow me in other countries, and it’s a nice FREE way to ask their opinion/see what they’re up to etc. also, it’s fun to follow Stephen Fry! (a big UK tweeting celebrity) I’m gonna follow you now too! I love your work – found you on etsy x

  • Comment by Stacey — March 24, 2009 @ 2:51 am

I twitter – and I don’t know why. That seems to be a disturbing trend?

Twitter hasn’t really caught on yet much in Australia, so I guess I’m just patiently waiting for my friends to jump on the bandwagon – I was on Facebook when it wasn’t really popular in Australia, too, but now (like others) I’m feeling ready to jump *off* that bandwagon!

    I’ll follow you too :-)

  • Comment by Adrienne — March 24, 2009 @ 7:42 am

Emily F: I am certainly far from interesting myself, I think I’ll tweet primarily to ask about what people want to see in the shop or to post about new blog posts or product. My minute to minute life is not exciting enough to merit constant tweeting!

Amy: you are quite technologically talented if I must say, considering you can do all those things and tweet at the same time!

Meridith: Babies kind of mess up the technological ambitions, David broke my monitor when he was about 12 months, and the power cord to my macbook is about to fizzle out from them both unplugging it all the time! Considering all you do already, sometimes we just have to pick what’s best for us!

Evelyn: We LOVE your name, thanks for stopping by!

    Zolliepup: LOL

UBP people: Welcome and good luck!

ChristineC: Innocence is a great virtue!

Rachel: That’s why I joined Facebook originally, now I’m not so sure it was a wise decision as people stalk me on there…

NatSplat: That’s a great reason to tweet! I would have never thought of something so genius.

Stacey: You sound like quite the trend starter down there. Your friends will thank you eventually!

  • Comment by Michelle — March 24, 2009 @ 1:18 pm

I don’t twitter because I already keep up with a blog, a half.com store, an Avon store, and about 4 email accounts. I just don’t have time for anymore online fun. oh did I mention my myspace and facebook. I don’t have enough time to committ to any one program fully so I sort slack on all of them.
I really love all things cupcakes though so here’s hoping.
This UBP has been super fun. I’m meeting all kinds of people, nice to have met you.

hello! i love your work, especially your recipe cards! fresh and delicious :) i twitter because i heard it was a great way to make contacts and network for online businesses. i am starting a wee business of my own, [hopefully by mid-april my shop will be up] and so i thought i’d dive in. not quite sure whether i get it 100%, but here i am!

  • Comment by Annie — March 26, 2009 @ 12:24 pm

I don’t tweet and doubt I’ll start. Email works just fine for me. Love your pieces!

  • Comment by Candice — March 26, 2009 @ 1:34 pm

I don’t tweet because I can’t imagine ever wanting to know someone was “getting ready to have lunch”. Sorry…I just don’t care about that type of thing.

However, so many people are into it…I wonder if I’m missing out.

  • Comment by Laura B. — March 26, 2009 @ 4:23 pm

Oh my goodness! I just saw the link to your site from K.Werner’s. Your stuff is awesome!! Love the colors and graphics! I’m twitter challenged. Wouldn’t even know how to get started?

  • Comment by Susan McRae — March 26, 2009 @ 5:19 pm

It’s my first time to your blog through kwernerdesign blog and I just love your stationary and designs. The colours are so vivid, the paper such quality, I want to run my fingers over the designs. Really wonderful and beautiful.

I don’t tweet, it would just be one more thing I don’t have time for in this technology crazy world.

  • Comment by Adrienne — March 26, 2009 @ 5:27 pm

Thanks Susan! That’s one of the main reasons I print via letterpress, it’s just so tactile and fun, thanks for stopping by.

  • Comment by Geralyn — March 26, 2009 @ 7:02 pm

Thank you for this cute giveaway! I don’t tweet because I find it a little pointless; fun but pointless. I’m doin’ fine with facebook, email, and livejournal, haha!

  • Comment by Cassi — March 26, 2009 @ 8:43 pm

For me Twitter is too invasive, I really don’t want to share the minute details of my life with the world and truthfully, who would want to know?

  • Comment by Fay W. — March 27, 2009 @ 12:47 am

Wow, these are so cute! I don’t Twitter because I don’t think anyone would be too interested in what I’m doing every minute of the day (I know I wouldn’t be!).

  • Comment by Michelle — March 27, 2009 @ 6:22 am

I love cupcakes!! Your letterpress art is beautiful. I love the sunny yellow with a touch of grey cards.

I don’t twitter–I can barely keep up with blogging and Facebook!

  • Comment by LynnetteZ — March 27, 2009 @ 10:27 am

I do not twitter. My life is not even remotely interesting enough for that. I think a prerequisite for that would be a capable mobile device, which I don’t have either.

  • Comment by Mogaine — March 27, 2009 @ 11:54 am

    Very cute!
I twitter only on the occasion, due to I can’t do it from my phone yet. I’m always so busy, but someday when I get a phone that doesn’t charge me for internet, I will so be a huge fan on it!

  • Comment by Veronica — March 27, 2009 @ 12:27 pm

So cute! I don’t Twitter because I don’t think anyone would read it!

  • Comment by Helen F. — March 27, 2009 @ 1:50 pm

I just signed up for my Twitter Account this week (at the urging of other bloggers/friends). But have no clue how it works, I am soooo technically challenged ~eeeegadds

  • Comment by lyndsay — March 27, 2009 @ 8:53 pm

these are the cutest little tags!! found you through simple + pretty blog. i don’t quite yet twitter– i tend to resist until i’m waaaay late (like how i refused to give up my VHS tapes for DVDs, and how i still have a small collection of my favorite cassette tapes…!). i only just started a blog this past year, but am lovin’ the blog world. so i dunno. tweet tweet??

  • Comment by Clouds — March 28, 2009 @ 8:44 pm

I do not tweet because I’ve never really thought of twittering, plus I don’t know who would want to know what I’m up to this days, i don’t think I’m that important, but these days it seems a lot of the politicians are using it, weird…I don’t do much except school so…not much to talk about :o) Love yer blog, yer cards are so BEAUTIFUL, I shall visit often ;o)

  • Comment by Sylvia — March 29, 2009 @ 3:04 am

I added you on twitter because I desperately need recipe cards. This is a great idea!

  • Comment by Judy in Tulsa — March 29, 2009 @ 12:40 pm

I twitter because The Pioneer Woman is on there and Bakerella! I have to have my daily dose of them or I am……am….not happy…not whole….whatever…..I just have to read them daily, period!!

  • Comment by Susie Nam — March 29, 2009 @ 5:16 pm

I’m on twitter but not that often. I hope to check and be on it more once I upgrade my phone to a data plan in June though. I just happened upon your blog today. I LOVE your stuff!

  • Comment by Color me Green — March 30, 2009 @ 7:11 pm

I don’t twitter because I already have an excessive blog obsession and I don’t think I need another internet time sucker or the real world would never see me! I love to bake and those cards are so cute!

  • Comment by Elizabeth in CT — March 31, 2009 @ 8:06 pm

I opened a twitter account, and do not use it. It feels – well, trivial! And following someone else’s twitter? Why not call them up? Or (my new resolution) write an actual handwritten note?
Twitter seems the ultimate in ephemera.

Clearly, I am not about to have a host of followers.

  • Comment by Elizabeth — March 31, 2009 @ 8:08 pm

While I have a twitter account, I have used it exactly once.
I signed up to follow my husband’s tweets, but he is apparently too busy reading other people’s blogs and tweets, and does not write his own.

It all seems too ephemeral to me.

  • Comment by KYMBERLY — February 16, 2010 @ 6:07 pm

I don’t Tweet because, I never checked out the page and I’m having way too much fun on Facebook! *giggle*
