You saw a screen shot of these letterpress holiday cards awhile back, and now here’s the printed piece. My intern Adam had the lovely task pf printing these babies, and learning how overprints work with tight registration.
Letterpress printed 2/0 with tint base added to the ink to create an awesome transparency with the over-printing. I hope love isn’t too Valentine’s for the holidays?! Wholesale buying for the Holiday 2010 Collection will be launching near the end of the week, and near the end of the month it will be available at retail for holiday buying!

Posted in: About Me, Holiday
This was taken outside the new local creamery in Driggs. Serving fresh gelato daily, I’m hopelessly addicted! I feel sort of sick and twisted because now is the time to be enjoying summer, seeing that it has finally arrived here in Driggs. However, I just wanted to show you a sneak peek of the holiday collection launching in August (wholesale ordering) and mid-September (retail buying). Hopefully with the new product, we’ll have a new self-hosted Dingbat Press shop too!
It is so beautiful, warm and sunny here. I feel that especially after this last winter, that I’m not ready for another winter. I told Brian the other day that he should open a fly-fishing lodge for the other half of the year in the Bahamas. I am sooo not ready for the summer to close except maybe so I can get these cards out to you.

What do you think? As I’m wrapping up the collection I want to know what you’d buy : photo cards, gift tags, greeting cards, recipe tags?

1 CommentEast Bay Letterpress Holiday
Posted in: Holiday
I just shipped these Saturday for a client in Oakland: letterpress printed, 3 exterior ink colors and an interior message, I’m really happy with how they turned out and that they (all 500 of them) are out the door! You can get a single East Bay holiday card for yourself just like this one (blank interior) in the shop NOW! I think the cranes are my favorite part of the whole card.

Posted in: Holiday, Recipe Cards
You may have seen my Letterpress Mod Mimosa cards awhile back that were available as recipe and 4Bar notes. They were a pain the bumsky to print. Registration was a bust everytime, and they became the dreaded product in my collection – until now! I’ve revised and tweaked the design a little and here is a peek at the new product shots!
To purchase, click the images to be re-directed to the letterpress store. They come paired with black index folders for easy organization in your recipe box too so if you don’t have a box and need an excuse, look no further!

CYBER MONDAY! Get 10% off all personalized orders and FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING on all orders today only (11/30/09)! Here’s a sample of a 10% discounted product and it’s time for the 12 days of holiday gifts round-up. If you want to give letterpress goods this holiday season, I’ll be helping you out with suggestions from the shop in all different price ranges. To start, these aren’t anything new for you but here’s another set of Traditional Dingbat A6 notes.
These shipped out last week and are a gift from one friend to another. I love these notes because you can customize with your choice of Goudy or Helvetica Neue for typeface, select your ink/envelope color, and choose between almost 100 different dingbats to make it truly unique. Letterpress printed on Lettra 110# paper and paired with un-printed envelopes, I think they are one of the hottest letterpress items in the shop that is reasonable in price. Sold in a set of 25, click on the image to get a set now.

I know, I know – it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! I just had to show you these though:

Since you’ll be sending out holiday/Christmas cards soon, you just might need some of these to send the right message this year. These flat A6 cards (4.5×6″) are sold in sets of 10. Letterpress printed snowflakes in moss and paired with matching envelopes. Great for a nice note or photo that can be adhered to the front. Click on the image to buy!

1 CommentLet it Snow! Photo Card
Posted in: Holiday
I know we’re coming into Thanksgiving this next week here in the US, but we all know that the holidays are already on everyone’s minds. If you have been making your list and checking it twice (for mailings at least) and are looking for a mod and simple holiday card then the buck stops here. These A6 cards are letterpress printed and would fit a great wallet or 3×5″ photo of kids, family or a couple. Letterpress printed in sage, on 110# Lettra, it’s a flat card, so no need to fill the inside with a long message. Just put your photos on, sign and send off to all your friends and loved ones! Comes in a set of 10, paired with matching envelopes.

Here are more Traditional Dingbat notes I shipped out a little while ago. With three more orders of these going through the studio this week, this is climbing the charts as my hottest personalized item, and has the quickest personalization turnaround of 8-10 business days (from approval of proof).
I like these because the gift giver chose a dingbat that she wanted to double as an ampersand. If you check out the listing you can see other images of Traditional Dingbat in the thumbnails and customize yours with typeface (Goudy or Helvetica Neue), dingbat, and ink/envelope color. For +$15 I’ll print your envelopes too! The listing is for a set of 25, however I can do 50, 75 or 100 if you’d like. Get your order in before the holiday schedule gets too tight!

Chris came to me after feeling too much pressure to create his own announcements for his wedding (he’s a designer too) and needed some outside help with getting it right. The brief behind the event was that it needed to reflect Victorian as the wedding was dominantly following that era. It was a Christmas wedding with all things you can imagine of a typical Victorian Christmas. Sleighs, snowflakes, vintage illustrations, amazing historical mansion, you name it – if it was going to be Victorian, elegant and spectacular – they had thought of it. Below is one of the proofs explored. This was a traditional vertical layout with the emphasis on the silhouetted initial. Another dominant design element used in Victorian publications and invitations of the time period, this is the most minimalist of the three proofs presented. This one didn’t make the cut but I just had to show how beautiful the ornamentation was on the initial. Color scheme:
